Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, USA, December 3rd, 2013 – Bridgestone Associates, Ltd.’s affiliate Bridgestone Energy Services, Ltd. (www.brdgstn.com) recently announced the signing of two separate contracts with a Ukrainian based manufacturer of components and systems for the Alcantara Launch Complex in Brazil. The Alcantara Launch Complex has been designed and built to provide the Brazilian and Ukrainian Governments with space launch capabilities to launch satellites into Earth orbit using the Ukrainian Cyclone-4 launch vehicle.
Under the first contract with Limited Liability Company “Scientific and Production Enterprise Cryon” of Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, Bridgestone Energy Services will arrange and provide specialist training on the installation of specialized hydraulic fittings. Four technicians and an interpreter will travel to the USA for the training arranged by Bridgestone Energy Services to be provided by a Pennsylvania based hydraulic component and equipment supplier.
Under the second contract with Triomiks Group, Ltd. of Victoria, Mahe, Seychelles, Bridgestone Energy Services will assist Cryon in sourcing specialized hydraulic components and installation tools. These components will be used in the manufacture of sub-assemblies in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine and then later shipped to Brazil for final assembly at the Alcantara Launch Complex.
“This is a very interesting project in which we are involved,” said Martin Anderson, President or Bridgestone Associates, Ltd. “Our involvement resulted from our previous work on a combined heat and power rehabilitation and feasibility study at the Yuzhmash Energo factory in Dnepropetrovsk, and the relationships we developed with project personnel during that project” continued Mr. Anderson. “The services we are providing under these contracts are slightly different than those usually offered by Bridgestone Energy Services, but we are pleased to be able to provide them and to help generate exports for U.S. manufactured products.”
