Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, USA, October 15th, 2010 – Bridgestone Associates, Ltd (www.brdgstn.com) announced today that it had been awarded a contract for a comprehensive feasibility study of a 300 MW solar power plant in the Philippines. The contract is with a private independent power plant developer.
“This feasibility study project was won in a competitive bidding situation and we believe recognizes our past experience with similar studies of large solar power generating facilities,” said Martin Anderson, President of Bridgestone Associates, Ltd. “We still have a number of contract details to finalize over the next few weeks, but we expect work to start early next year” continued Mr. Anderson. “The feasibility study will look at the suitability of a number of proposed sites, the solar generating technology alternatives, the ability of the local utility grid to handle the power generated, the capital and operating costs of the project, and all aspects of the project’s development, financing, construction and long-term operations and maintenance.”
